This is not a philosophy; other than a personal one.
This is not principle 1, nor 10, nor any of the the 33.
But it is something that is essential for any and EVERY chiropractor, chiropractic student, and chiropractic supporter to hear:

Support.

Support, encourage, and uplift each other. In a world that is in such desperate need for uplift and encouragement, where there is such discouragement, where media controls our minds, and pills fill our bodies. Support each other knowing that you are offering not just an alternative, but a solution. Whether you're a wellness based doc, or a PI only pain doc - you're still doing one thing: adjusting. Adjusting someone, so that whether you call it their innate or just merely their body doing what it needs to be doing: they can get better, without having to have surgery, without having to swallow pills, or without having to get injections.

While there's always going to be arguments on what modalities work best; or if any modalities should be used other than adjustments; or what part of the body/extremities  should be adjusted; or if only the upper cervical spine should be adjusted; or whether principled doc's hold the truth and non-principled's are merely therapists; or if principled doc's are quacky and non-principled doc's are medically in-tune with society: whatever the differences', whatever the arguments may be: you're still a chiropractor (or a chiropractic student, or a chiropractic supporter), and it's essential that instead of bickering and creating dispair in your field: that you can agree to disagree...

And that you can support each other.

Because with support, we will get a hell-of-a-lot further, and that means we'll be helping a hell of a lot more people in this world - and isn't that what chiropractic is all about? Reaching the masses and HELPING them?

Seriously folks; The doctor The chiropractor that 'began the change' in my life? He's a hardcore 'mixer'. He went to a school highly known for their 'medical training', he never once brought up philosophy, nor does he really advocate for wellness visits. In fact I'm sure (though he never actually said such) he probably thinks chiropractic philosophy is quacky. But he helped me realize there was more to life than just going with what I've been brainwashed to think: He taught me to question diagnosis, to question dis-ease, to think for myself, and to trust my body - and that was enough to make me crave true chiropracTIC. And I will forever be grateful to him for what he helped lead me to... (and for what it's worth, I've been to a hell of a lot of chiropractors/been adjusted by many chiropractor's in my time, and he's BY FAR without a doubt the best dang adjuster I've ever had! )
